Almost finished transforming this termite infested house

You may have seen the video about the termite infested house we bought that was full off old belonging (See before video). The house is almost fully transformed now and is about a week from being listed to find a new family to enjoy. When we first came across this property it had been sitting vacant for 3 years and there was termite activity in basically every room. The owner had passed away and the house was still full of lots of her belongs. There were 5 heirs to the estate and they were looking to sell the house as part of the succession process. I’m here at a property we bought a while ago now. I actually did a video when we first purchased it. It’s a big property in St. Bernard Parish. It had been inherited by five children and was vacant for three years since their mother had passed away. It had been significantly eaten by termites, and all the belongings were still in the house. It was in pretty bad shape — but it’s in a beautiful area.

We’re about a week away from having it ready to list on the market for a new homeowner. I’ll show you around — it looks pretty different from the last video I shot. We’re down to just a few final touches. Some appliances are in, and we’re just finishing up.

We fixed all the walls and got rid of all the termite damage. It’s a big house — over 3,000 square feet — so it took a lot of work, but it was worth it.

In the last video, I showed how the termites had made it all the way to the top floor, coming out of the boards. So yeah, it was pretty significant damage that had to be repaired, but now it’s starting to look really nice.

We should be finishing the punch list items soon, and by next week, it should be available for sale.
