Lee sold his house in As Is condition for cash
Lee reached out to us from Avondale when he was ready to move to Texas and wanted a simple way to sell his house. The property had belonged to his uncle, and he had inherited it nine years earlier. Over time, the house had gotten older, more worn, and in need of significant repairs. The roof was aging, the interior needed updates, and the overall condition made it difficult to sell to a traditional homebuyer. Lee didn’t want to spend money on renovations or deal with contractors, inspections, or delays. Selling the property in as-is condition was exactly what he needed.
After walking the house, we made him a cash offer that worked for his plans. We moved forward with the contract and opened escrow with the title company. Then Hurricane Ida came through, causing additional damage to an already worn property. The garage collapsed, the roof lost shingles, and water got inside. For many buyers, that would have ended the deal or led to negotiations. But since we were already buying the home as-is, the storm damage didn’t change anything for us. We kept the contract at the same price and moved ahead with closing once everything reopened.
Lee was relieved. What could have turned into another setback ended up being a smooth, easy sale. He didn’t have to repair anything and didn’t have to worry about the storm damage. He simply sold the house, received his funds, and moved on with his plans for Texas. We were grateful for the chance to help him through a stressful time and give the property a fresh start.

Hey Lee, so tell me—what was it like selling your house to Home Buyer Louisiana?
Easy. Pleasant. You know, without a hitch.
Awesome. And obviously your house needed some repairs, am I right?
It did. It did.
And we just bought the house in as-is condition, didn’t we?
That’s correct.
Awesome, awesome. I know we did have one hitch though, because we were scheduled to close and Hurricane Ida came through. I know your house took a bit of damage. But, you know, we were still able to close at the same price. So I guess that worked out for you?
Yeah, worked out good.
Perfect. All right, I appreciate you trusting us to sell your house, and thank you very much.
No problem. Thank you.
