Bonnie had owned this rental property for over 30 years. She had been a landlord for over 40 years and has sold her other rentals and was holding onto this one. The last tenant had been there 17 years but unfortunately there was a fire and the house needed a renovation. They had been working through the rehab for a long time and had lots of issues with the inspectors but had pushed through and were getting close to finishing it. Then when they discovered substantial termite damage behind one of the walls they just decided it wasn’t worth it. They just didn’t have the energy to open up the walls and repair the damage and decided they were best to just sell the property and enjoy retirement.
