We bought this inherited house that was facing foreclosure

When you are facing foreclosure it can be hard to deal with. You may not be able to catch up your arrears but you may still have equity in the property. Selling your house before the foreclosure gives you the benefit of pulling that equity out of the property and saving your credit. Like this house in Kenner that had been inherited but had a large arrears that heir couldn’t catch up. The foreclosure was imminent but he reached out to us before the auction and we were able to buy it from him so he could pull out the equity.

You can check out the video of our founder during the first inspection of the property, talking about the situation and the property.

Hey guys, it’s Aussie Steve from Home Buyer Louisiana. We buy houses in any condition in Louisiana. I’m currently at a property we’re considering purchasing. This is our first inspection of the property.

The seller reached out to us because they inherited the house from their mother and now live out of state, no longer in Louisiana. The property has a mortgage on it, but it hasn’t been paid in a while and is facing foreclosure. The seller wants to do something with the property before it gets foreclosed upon, but they’re unable to do so because they’re out of state.

The house has a few issues, but it’s in okay condition. You’ve probably seen the houses we buy, we buy houses in pretty bad conditions, so by our standards, it’s not too bad. However, it’s not ready for a homeowner either. We came around to check it out and make the seller an offer. Our goal is to help stop the foreclosure and get the property off their hands while also making some money. We need to move fast because foreclosures can happen quickly, and the seller is getting close to that stage.

Let me show you around. As you can see, the flooring in this room is gone, but there have been some repairs, and there’s some new paint and tape up. They were doing some updates, but it’s not a great paint job, and there are some fixtures that need attention. We’re going to need some new carpet and a paint job to get it ready for a new homeowner, but we buy houses as is, so this isn’t too big a deal for us.

If you have a property like this one, maybe one you’ve inherited, and you’re facing foreclosure, don’t let the banks just take your property. Reach out to us at HomeBuyerLouisiana.com. You can get a lot of information on options to sell your home. Give us a call, and we’re happy to chat through your situation and see if we can help. Thanks, guys!
