We transformed this New Orleans East Property

This is a project update from a house we bought a few months. When we bought the house it was in rough shape and in need of a complete over haul (You can see the first video here). Well we just finished that overhaul and have now listed the house for sale. In this video our founder Aussie Steve talks about the rehab and shows off the property. Hey guys, it’s Aussie Steve here from Home Buyer Louisiana. We buy houses in any condition in Louisiana. I’m here for a project update. This is a house that he purchased a few months ago. We’ve totally transformed the house and now it’s listed for sale.

I did do a video earlier so I’ll link to it. We totally transformed this house. It was in really bad condition, the tenants had ripped it apart. We put this brand new, beautiful kitchen in place. We knocked out the wall over here to open up the Kitchen.

The floors were destroyed by the tenants, so obviously we fixed all of that. Back in here the roof had fallen in and water had been coming through. Obviously we fixed that and added a new water heater.

Now this is ready for a new family to move into it. We’ve got it listed on the market.

The people who sold it to us had owned it for a long time. Actually it was the first home they ever bought and they lived in it before Katrina. They did move out after Katrina and they’d rented it out since then. Unfortunately the tenants hadn’t really looked after the property very well. It was in bad shape so you know they reached out to us because they were looking to sell it fast to a cash buyer in as is condition.

We were able to buy it fast in As Is condition and we pretty much touched everything in our rehab. New bathrooms, brand new AC, brand new roof, new floors. Pretty much everything in here we touched and now it’s a beautiful new home.

We love this part of the journey. We love helping people by buying a burdensome property and seeing that relief at the closing table when they sell it. But we also love to keep going and keep adding value. The next step is to make this beautiful transformation and then the new owner is going to be able to buy this and they’re going to love it. We sent the photos to the owner of this house the other day and she loved what we’ve done with it.
