Hey, what’s up, everybody? Dillon King with Home Buyer Louisiana. I am actually here in Jefferson today, really close to Old Jefferson, just off Jefferson Highway, super close to Ochsner, really great location.

We have a house that’s been sitting here vacant. It needs a lot of TLC. We actually have an invasive species of some type of vine or weed growing into the home from the roof and from the windows. It needs to be properly sealed. The whole exterior, like that old original wood, which can be beautiful, has not been kept up. So there’s a lot of exposure to the elements between the sheetrock and the exterior of the home.

As I can see, some of the wood on the exterior of the home is actually collapsing and deteriorating away. There’s no actual plywood or even OSB-type sheathing on the outside. It’s literally sheetrock, studded with insulation, and the wood siding.

As that’s been deteriorating and falling off, we have some wear and tear from the elements being able to get inside. There are broken windows. You can see behind me here, broken windows and other windows that aren’t even broken, just getting vines and everything growing through them. It’s not properly sealed up from what I can see.

The joists look good, but I do feel some sloping with the subfloor. So I would assume that we have some subfloor issues to work through.
