We bought this Metairie house in As Is condition. The seller inherited the house from his father awhile ago and now he was ready to sell it. He wanted to move to Florida and didn’t want to spend the time or money updating the house to list on the market. We just wanted a simple transaction where he didn’t have to make repairs, stage the property or have open houses. He just wanted to sell the house fast and move on. We were able to give him the price he wanted and he was excited to be able to pay off all his debts and have enough cash to set up him and his fiance.

The house was in reasonable condition. There were new floors but everything was dated. There was old wallpaper in the entry, the kitchen cabinets were not up to the standards buyers are looking for in Metairie. There was a hole in the ceiling in the garage and few other things that needed to be repaired. The house needed $30K put into it to make it what homeowners are looking for. This is the sort of work we like doing and wasn’t something the seller wanted to do himself so it made perfect sense for us to buy the house in As Is Condition.
